The Heart of Us All

Hello, all!

Ever wondered what your gifts are? Spiritual and physical gifts can vary in a multitude of ways; some encourage, some teach, some create, some prophecy, and the list goes on and on. I am starting a series to show you some real and beautiful college girls who are using their God-given gifts to glorify Him, with the hopes that you discover yours and are encouraged to use them to touch the lives of others in the name of Jesus Christ. Although this series is more directed towards women, everyone is able to embrace and use their spiritual gifts. I'm really excited for this series, as it is a colorful one indeed. Every person is different and unique, with different talents, characteristics, and abilities inside each and every one. What brings us together is the heart of Christ that is inside us all.

Spiritual gifts are called 'spiritual' because they come from the Spirit of God. Paul writes three letters in the Word that address spiritual gifts, and though they outline some specific abilities, the lists are not all identical and appear more as examples than comprehensive lists. I believe all gifts, natural or metaphysical-physical or spiritual-come from God. All gifts should be used to strengthen and build up the Church-the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:4
'There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works in all of them in all men'.

Each beautiful woman is fearfully and wonderfully made. We are called to embrace an identity that follows the heart of Christ so that we can live with a boldness that glorifies Him in all that we do-especially through our God-given gifts.
