A Truth on Which to Dwell

On my mind today:

Oftentimes we overcomplicate the Gospel.

Greek, Hebrew, theology, theophanies, Christanese-all of these and more are not bad, but they are perhaps unnecessary or at least not as important as we make them out to be. Sometimes it's easier than what we make it. Sometimes it is less complex than what we find ourselves all wrapped up in and dwelling on.

The thing is, you don't have to be a genius to understand unconditional love.

At it's core the Christian faith is constructed of hope.

Jesus came for the sick rather than the healthy.

This is the simple message.

Nothing more, nothing less.

Let's call it what it is: Good News.
